10 Ways Not To Lose Weight In The
Long-Term
1. Intense Calorie Controlled
Diets
2. Attempting To Cut Out All
Fat
3. Forgetting The Importance
Of Water
4. Low-Carbohydrate
High-Protein
5. Skipping Meals
6. Ignoring Fresh Or
Wholesome Foods
7. Relying On
Suppliments
8. Unbalanced
Diet
9. Depriving Yourself Of
Treats
10. Following A Rapid
Weight-Loss Programme.
Most
people attempting to diet fail to succeed, and it is not down
to willpower, metabolism or genetics.
It
is simply matter of understanding what your body
needs.
The
people designing the diet programmes today seem oblivious to
this simple, important fact. They seem determined to 'cheat'
the body into shedding weight. You will find all manner of
spurious claims of medical revelations that fool the body, some
may trick the body into burning extra calories, and some
falsely claim to possess a method that will decrease fat
storage. Most will fail.
It is not
a matter of tricking your body, there is absolutely no need.
The most efficient and healthy way to lose weight is to work
with your body, not against it.
In fact,
working against your body is unhealthy and in many cases
extremely dangerous. There are many diets that work on the
principles of rapid weight loss, let me make this abundantly
clear:
These styles of diets are seriously unhealthy and a
risk to your health.
They are
not revolutionary or medical miracles designed by expert
nutritionists. They are simply extreme diets that are used by
hospitals in emergency situation, where it is absolutely vital
that a patient must lose weight quickly to undergo a
life-saving operation. They are not designed for use by persons
looking for long-term weight loss.
You may hear this a million and
one times but it does not make it any less
true:
‘It’s all about a healthy, balanced
diet’
Or to
coin another well used gem:
‘Everything in
moderation’
The thing
is, even though these two phrases have become the common
response for someone looking to fight off an friend or partner
attempting to coerce them into participating in the latest
‘revolutionary’ weight loss programme, they do hold some weight
(please pardon the unintentional pun.)
The
majority of the new over-technical diets will not help you to
lose weight. They fight against the body, not with it. Only by
working with the body will you ever persuade it to return to
its natural balanced weight.
Your body actually wants to be at
its optimal weight and can be very helpful as long as you
continue to provide it with what it needs.
If you give it too much it will
make you feel sick, on the other hand if you starve it, you
will feel sick again. The body is very aware and proficient at
informing you via nausea and stomach pain of how much food it
need and what that food should be.
Most of
the modern fad diets are an attempt to bully the body, they are
doomed from the off, the body is quite a tough adversary. If
you ever hope to lose weight, try being nice to your body, you
will find it far more appreciative and
compliant!
